Totally Kate! The Official Website of Kate Mulgrew

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Once again I want to thank all of you who have been forthcoming in your donations, generosity and efforts towards Alzheimer’s.  This year, on September 22nd there will be an Alzheimer’s Walk in Dubuque, Iowa, and I urge as many who can possibly make it to attend this walk.  I, however, will be in New York doing “Iphigenia 2.0” at the Signature Theatre Company. But my family will be there representing me, and I would love it so much if some of my Voyager supporters could attend – it would mean a great deal to me.

Also, I want to thank everybody for supporting me in “Our Leading Lady”, and I do hope that as many of you as can come to New York will see “Iphigenia 2.0”.

It’s been an unusual year for me – a very good one.  More and more it’s clear to me that my heart is in the theatre, and my passion resides there.  And it takes me back into a time and a place that is deeply truthful and very freeing for me. So these are happy days.

My youngest son Alec graduated from college and just got back from Paris with his girlfriend.  He’s a painter and a writer – he’s a marvelous kid! Ian, my oldest boy’s in New York, I think attempting to be an actor and driving a taxi. And they are thriving.  My husband is in Cleveland, doing what he does best, which is serving Cuyahoga County on every conceivable level with his decency and his goodness.  I am – and continue to be – blessed, conflicted, but in the end I would say probably one of the most interested people in the world.  I am wildly interested in being alive, and I think that I share this with all of you, and I’m grateful for that association.  And I thank you.

Kate Mulgrew
