Kate Mulgrew and John Douglas Thompson in
ANTONY & CLEOPATRA
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Tina Landau

Hartford Stage
50 Church Street, Hartford, CT 06103

One of Shakespeare’s greatest romantic tragedies – a story of the love and loss that gave birth to an empire.  A Roman General and an Egyptian Queen, Mark Antony and Cleopatra are great leaders of their time who share a passion for each other – but at a price.  Power, politics and betrayal overshadow their doomed and legendary affair.  The incomparable Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager, Ryan’s Hope) returns to Hartford Stage for the first time since her memorable portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in Tea at Five!
